Big Island International Marathon invites you to join us for a beautiful race that follows “the coast of old Hawai’i”. You’ll run alongside historic roads with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, scenic waterfalls, lush tropical forests and expansive sugarcane fields. Hilo boasts beautiful green landscapes thanks to our cooler climate and regular rainfall. Racers will have the refreshing morning drizzle of rain as they embark of the path to completing a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k or 2 mile walk. No matter if you’re a novice or a veteran athlete, hundreds of volunteers will be on the road to assist and root you on! Every athlete who completes the race will receive a finisher metal. We are also proud to announce this is a Boston Marathon qualifying race!
